Not much to report right now, except that I have been suffering from some major allergies. So since pictures and stories of my allergies would not be that fun to hear, I'll put more pictures up of my little girl!

Constitution Day
Hello Everyone!
Last week (on Wednesday) we celebrated Constitution Day. At work we were encouraged to get to know more about the constitution. While I'd love to say that I know the constitution well, I can't. But I can say that I still know and can recite the preamble, which I memorized in elementary school by saying it into my tape recorder and listened to it until I fell asleep. I memorized it in one day and have been able to say it since. Here it is for those who don't know it, "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America".
I had no idea of what this meant when I memorized it, but I do now. I have made the resolve to be more involved in the political system (learning about candidates, issues, and stuff that we can vote on) and actually voting on the things to which I can voice my opinion! Even if I don't do much else, by voting I am making myself heard. I encourage everyone out there who is reading this, to not only vote, but to learn about the issues and candidates and make a decision rather than just checking a box or filling in a circle when you get to the polls. That way, you and I are actually "choosing" who to elect, rather than giving someone the benefit of the doubt because their name looks nice on a ballot. Happy Voting!!!!

A Big Success
Hello,
Today was an awesome day. Tomorrow is my Dad's 60th birthday so we took some family pictures today to start the festivities. It was so much fun (hot, but fun). We all met at the Wright House in Mesa, and all of the kids ran around crazily while we tried to capture pictures of them all. Difficult as it was, we got a lot of good pictures!
Then my dad was taken on a helicopter ride, which was quite a treat because he hasn't been on a ride like that in years. He absolutely loved it and got some really fun pictures while up in the heli!
Next we all hung out at my sister's house swimming and taking pictures with an underwater camera. It was quite the good time. I didn't get a sunburn, which made the occasion that much better!
I'm so excited. One of the things we did for my dad was make him a CD of the family singing some of his favorite songs. One of them is on my playlist "The Leader of the Band" by Dan Fogelburg. I absolutely love that song and I feel it describes my relationship with my dad very well. While my brothers are all here in AZ, we have all taken different paths and I feel I have learned a lot from my dad whether he knows it or not. I hope that some of the things we did this weekend show him how much he means to us! I'm so glad for my Dad, and the awesome role model he has always been for me! Thanks Dad!
On with the next. Hopefully we can continue recording and spending more time doing awesome things like this for faimly!
