My First Trip to Disneyland!!!

DISNEYLAND!!!

I'm 28, and I finally made it to the happiest place on earth! Shara and I left Tuesday, dropped of Kaitlyn, and headed out. After a lot of traffic, we finally arrived at our hotel Tuesday night around 11:00 pm.
Wednesday was a day for relaxing. We walked to disneyland just to see it, then we went back to the hotel for a little snack. We swam, and hung out at the pool for an hour or so. Then we went to a time-share presentation and got free lunch and 100 Disney Dollars just for attending. We actually had a nice salesman, so it wasn't such a bad experience!

Thursday, we got up early, ate breakfast and headed out to Disneyland. I was a bit bummed at first after waiting about an hour for the Finding Nemo submarine voyage. A bit boring for my taste, but an interesting show.

Next we went to Space Mountain which is probably my second favorite ride in the park (it's a close second behind Indiana Jones)! The lines were still pretty short, but we got a fast pass for our next ride, and waited in line. After that, we ran around to some shops, and went back to space mountain. The Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, and almost every other ride in the park came over the next few hours (even the teacups, and the carousel!). Overall, it was a very fun trip. Slow to start, but we stayed until the fireworks at the end, and those are AMAZING! I'd go back just for the fireworks. I still can't get "it's a small world" out of my head, but hopefully it will be out soon.
Here are some pictures of us at Disneyland!!! Enjoy.

We didn't go to California Adventure, but we had to get a picture in front of the gigantic "A".

I don't remember the name of this boat, but it's pretty cool looking.

Here we are in front of Walt and Mickey! Good guys!

Daddy's first attempt at pig tails

Okay, so Kaitlyn's hair is getting so long, that I couldn't help myself yesterday that I made my first attempt at pig tails :) Let's just say that I'm not very good at doing her hair right now. Luckily, she was smiling for all the pictures.

So, I decided to let mommy take a try :) She did a much better job!

I can't get over how prescious she is!

Words

You know what bugs me... the word ridiculous.

I was watching TV and a commercial came on talking about these HD sunglasses that are supposed to make it easy to read outside in the sunlight (how can you make a book look "HD"? That's another thing I don't understand). The commercial said something like this, "Tired of trying to read outside, wearing sunglasses but holding up reading glasses too? It's ridiculous...". The word ridiculous itself doesn't bug me, it's how people say it. It seems that SO many people say "RE-diculous". Why? There is no "RE" to it. The word ridiculous comes from the word ridicule. To ridicule something is to make fun of it. Maybe it's something annoying, so you would like to scoff at that particular item. Thus, you are ridiculing that item, and it is "ridiculous" or worthy of your "ridicule". On that happy note, please make sure to pronounce that word correctly, for my sanity's sake!

If you don't think that this post is ridiculous, feel free to comment.
